Disclosure: This post is sponsored by The Home Depot. I am excited to announce that I have partnered with The Home Depot Prosepctive tool review program. These tools are sent to me and I receive compensation for these posts, but these opinions are my own.

Did you know the Husky Tool brand has been around since 1924? Neither did I until recently. I knew Husky Tools are the house brand of The Home Depot, but I did not know that brand has existed for almost 100 years. I’ve had an affinity for the Husky Tools at Home Depot for years because of their comparatively low price point and ease of acquisition. Basically they’re cheap (in price only) and easy to get. Let’s run through the 6 Husky Tools I’m obsessed with right now.

#1. Husky Pro Hybrid Tote

Link to buy.

With all the tools I’ve acquired over the last several years I have plenty of tool totes at my disposal. Every drill and nail gun seems to come with its own tote, and in the past this is what I’ve grabbed to throw my tools in when I’m headed to a job site or furniture install. This works for the basic function of having something to carry things in, but fails in any sort of actual organization. “Where’s that bit I need? I know I threw it in there!” “Dang 1 1/4 inch screws got mixed in with the 1 1/2 inch screws!” “Why does the tape measure always end up buried in the bottom of the bag?!?”

Enter the Husky Hybrid Tote. The large open center pocket is perfect for nail guns, drills, circular saws, and the like while having internal loops for hammers, mallets, screwdrivers, and scrapers. The whole tote is a water-resistant polymer fabric with reinforced edging that keeps that prevents wear on the corners. It also comes with a separate tool organizer to keep wrenches, ratchets, and pliers in place. Going to the job site or an install doesn’t have to be the cluster it once was, and all for under $50.

Quick Bits:

  • 5 heavy-duty feet protect the base

  • Large universal open center storage area for larger tools

  • Includes tool organizer for organized, easy access to critical tools on-the-go

  • Easy-access tape clip on outside of tote

  • Dual truck handles provide quick carry or grab point

  • Tote has 6 external pockets, 18 internal pockets and custom Pro Tool Organizer case slot

  • Tool Organizer case has interior pockets and elastic straps designed to securely hold your tools in place

#2 Husky Interlocking Organizers

Link to buy.

Keeping with the organization theme I want to highlight the Husky small parts organizer. Each organizer has 10 small parts trays that are removable. The organizers have latches on the sides that allow you to connect a number of these together. Its perfect for screws, nuts, washers, smaller tools, etc. If you’ve tried other small parts organizers in the past you may be wary of how cheaply constructed this type of product can be. Not so with the Husky version which are made with durable polypropylene and a clear polycarbonate lid. The last small part organizer you’ll want to buy!

Quick Bits:

  • 10 removable compartments 2 sizes

  • Interlocking to connect more than 1 organizer

  • Ploy carbonate lid for extra-durability

  • Folding handle to save space when storing

  • Heavy-duty latches

#3 125 PC Husky Ratchet Set

Link to buy.

This is seriously the nicest ratchet set I’ve owned, and with the Husky lifetime warranty maybe the last ratchet set I’ll own. This set has every standard and metric socket I could ever need in both normal and deep well sockets, and comes in both 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch drive. It also has a range of standard and metric hex bits along with hex bits. The star of the show are the low profile 144 tooth ratchets with their 2.5 degrees of ratchet swing. In laymen’s terms, you know when you have to turn a ratchet in a tight space and there isn’t enough? With this set you can get in those tight spaces, but still have room to actuate the ratchet. That means you can turn a faster with less than 3/4” of space to work in. All of this packaged in a durable plastic case.

Quick Bits:

  • 144-position 1/4 in., 3/8 in. pro access ratchets, with full line of standard and deep sockets

  • Pro access ratchet has an industry leading 2.5° arc swing, turning a fastener in less than 3/4 in. of space

  • 6-point sockets grip the flat area of hex fasteners for superior torque

  • Includes SAE and metric sockets

  • Includes 24 bit sockets covering SAE hex, metric hex and Torx

  • Tools are forged from chrome alloy steel for outstanding durability and strength

#4. Husky 3 PC Long Handle Ratchet Set

The perfect compliment to the Husky 125 pc Ratchet Set is this 3 pc long handle ratchet set. These ratchets have the same 144 tooth, 2.5 degree swing technology as the kit listed above, but have longer handles for even greater reach and torque. Plus the same lifetime, no questions asked, receipt free replacement warranty. They come in 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” sizes.

Quick Bits:

  • Low-profile head design

  • Quick release button allows sockets and drive tools to be easily removed from the ratchet

  • Flush mounted reversing lever

  • Cold formed and heat treated for outstanding strength

  • Meets or exceeds ANSI standards

#5. Husky 60 PC Universal Mechanics Tool Set

Link to buy.

If the 125 pc kit I listed above is out of your price range this kit is the next best thing in my opinion. At under $50 this ratchet set sticks more to the basics. It includes one 3/8” inch drive long handle ratchet and 43 sockets in both metric and standard. While it doesn’t have the 2.5 degree swing of the 125 pc set it can still get into tight places with it’s low profile head and 3.6 degree swing. The industrial black finish not only looks cools, but makes the numbers on each socket easy to ready. All of this with the same lifetime, no questions asked replacement warranty.

Quick Bits:

  • 100-position ratchet needs just 1 in. of clearance to turn a fastener

  • Knurl grip universal sockets fit 6-point, 12-point, square, E-Torx, spine and partially rounded hex fasteners

  • Each socket features a knurl ring and tapper design, making them easier to grip and spin using only your fingertips

  • Industrial black finish stands up to a lifetime of use

  • Laser-etched size markings stand out on the black finish for easy identification

  • Bits work with the bit adapter socket to create 11 different bit sockets

  • Bits are formed from heat-treated S2 tool steel for added strength and wear protection

  • Tools are forged from chrome alloy steel for outstanding durability and strength
